I am a 46 year old teacher originally from Durban, South Africa.  Running was never my first love but as I grew older I developed a very intimate relationship with it.  It grew to proportions that can only be described as an obsession.

I have lived all over the world but now find myself in Central Asia, Kyrgyzstan where I am the Director of a school in the Bilimkana group.  I love the country and the people.

Charity work started from the young age of 17 where I was drawn to doing various events.  It started with a 5 day, 274km run for an orphanage in South Africa which was the hardest thing I ever did and 28 years later I am still at it.  I will never forget the feeling I had after I reached my destination at the orphanage.  It never gets easier but it surely gets more rewarding trying to change lives and make a difference.  In the process of running, swimming or cycling for charity I experience new things, meet amazing new friends and help change peoples lives!

I don’t think I will ever stop.  Its in my blood and it is something that I simply need to do.

Drop me a line if you would like to know more or be part of these amazing adventures!
